Norwegian engineering, construction and technology group Aker Solutions ASA (OSE: AKSO) said on Friday (29 August) that its subsidiary, Aker MH AS, has won a new drilling equipment contract from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in Korea.

The contract, valued at approximately USD105m, covers delivery of a complete drilling equipment package, including installation and commissioning supervision, for a new semi-submersible drilling rig.

Aker Solutions (formerly Aker Kvaerner), headquartered in Oslo, Norway, operates within oil & gas, refining & chemicals, mining & metals and power generation. The group has some 24,000 employees in 30 countries and has annual revenue of NOK58bn. The company's largest shareholder is the Norwegian holding group Aker ASA (40.27%).

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.86 US dollars (USD). One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 9.94 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
