Norwegian technology and engineering group Goodtech ASA (OSE: GOD) said on Wednesday (2 July) that its Swedish subsidiary Goodtech MRAB has won a contract to build a biogas plant from the Alands Centralandelslag (ACA) cooperative on Aland Islands, Finland.
The order covers a biogas plant for ACA's dairy.
The plant will produce biogas from the dairy's waste material and use it as an energy source in the municipal district heat production.
The contract is valued at EUR1.45m, but Goodtech said that it also has a strategic importance.
Goodtech, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, provides products and services within the business areas Automaton and Industry, Materials Handling and Infrastructure and Environment and Energy Recovery. The group has 260 employees and reported revenue of NOK461.8m in 2007.
