Swedish road marking company AB Geveko expands in Norway

Swedish road marking company AB Geveko (OMX Stockholm:GVKO B) announced on Tuesday (10 June) that its Norwegian subsidiary Cleanosol AS has agreed to acquire the road marking activities of the state-owned Norwegian civil engineering company Mesta AS.
No financial details were disclosed.
The operations to be acquired achieved a turnover of SEK75m in 2007.
"With the acquisition of the Mesta road marking operation we will strengthen our position on the domestic markets, which is of great strategic importance," said Hans Ljungkvist, CEO of Geveko.
Geveko, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, is Europe's leading road marking company. Formerly an investment company with industrial holdings, the company became a pure industrial company at the beginning of the year.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.68 Swedish kronor (SEK).
