TeliaSonera acquires Norway's ComHouse

Finnish-Swedish telecomms operator TeliaSonera AB (OMX:TLSN) said on Tuesday (17 June) that it has acquired the remaining 66.6% of the shares in ComHouse, a holding company for the retail chains Klart Svar and Telebutikken in Norway.

After the acquisition TeliaSonera holds 100% of the company's shares.

The acquisition will allow TeliaSonera's subsidiary NetCom to further integrate ComHouse's distribution chains operationally, the company added.

The purchase price for 66.6%of the shares will be approximately SEK185m.

TeliaSonera provides telecomms services in the Nordic and Baltic countries, in Spain and the emerging markets of Eurasia, including Russia and Turkey. In 2007 TeliaSonera's net sales amounted to SEK96bn and at the end of December 2007 the total number of subscriptions exceeded 114 million in 18 countries. TeliaSonera is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm and Helsinki.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.85 Swedish kronor (SEK).
