Swedish defence and aerospace group Saab AB (OMX Stockholm: SAAB B) said on Monday (23 June) that it has signed a cooperation agreement with the US radar detection solutions provider Sensis Corporation.
Under the agreement Sensis will modify and adapt Saab's GIRAFFE AMB 3-D radar systems to US specifications.
"The US is a very important market for Saab and we are very pleased with the cooperation with Sensis, a company who met our strict criteria and has great performance and capabilities. This cooperation will remove barriers for future sales," commented Lennart Joelsson, senior vice president and managing director of Saab Microwave Systems.
Saab, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is a global high-tech group providing products, services and solutions from military defence to civil security. The group has 13,700 employees worldwide and annual sales of SEK23bn.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.90 Swedish kronor (SEK).
