Swedish high-tech company Sectra AB (OMX Stockholm: SECT B) said on Tuesday (24 June) that it has received a contract to deliver a crypto solution for the Swedish national public safety network Rakel.
The contract, awarded by the Swedish defence materiel administration, FMV, covers a system for protecting the voice communications of the agencies using the Rakel system, including the police, coast guard and defence forces.
The value of the assignment was not disclosed.
Sectra, headquartered in Linkoping, Sweden, develops and sells advanced medical and secure communication systems. The company has 506 employees in 11 countries and reported sales of SEK743m in the financial year 2007/2008.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.90 Swedish kronor (SEK).
