Wartsila Corporation acquires German company CDC

Finnish power plants and ship power solutions supplier Wartsila Corporation (OMX Helsinki:WRTAV) said on Monday (2 June) that it has acquired the German company Claus D. Christophel Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH (CDC), which specialises in the design, delivery and service of automation systems for ship owners and yards.

CDC's net annual sales were EUR2.1m in 2007 and it employs 12 people, Wartsila said.

CDC's operations will be integrated into Wartsila Services and all employees will continue as Wartsila employees, the company added.

The acquisition price was not disclosed.

Wartsila Corporation supplies power solutions for the marine and energy markets. The company has over 16,000 employees in 70 countries.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.27 euros (EUR).
