Swedish IT and medical-technology company Sectra AB said on Monday (10 March) that it has received an order for its Sectra PACS radiology images handling products and services from the Portuguese oncology institute Instituto Portugues de Oncologia do Porto Francisco Gentil.

The institute will use the Sectra PACS system to digitise its imaging operations in order to increase work flow efficiencies and provide radiologists with instant access to images and information regardless of location.

No financial details were disclosed.

Sectra, headquartered in Linkoping, Sweden, develops and sells medical systems and secure communication systems. The company has operations in eleven countries, and reported sales of SEK673m in the financial year 2006/2007. Sectra is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.29 Swedish kronor (SEK).
