Finnish cargo-handling solutions provider Cargotec Corporation said on Wednesday (12 March) that its MacGREGOR business area has received an order for 120 cranes for tankers.

The tankers will be built at Jiangsu Rongsheng Shipbuilding Co in China for Turkish, Norwegian, Russian and Cypriot owners.

The provision and hose handling cranes will be manufactured in China by MacGREGOR partner plant, and will be delivered 2008 - 2010, the company added.

The value of the order exceeds EUR10m, the company said.

Cargotec Corporation provides cargo handling solutions which are used in local transportation, terminals, ports, distribution centres and ships. Cargotec's sales are EUR3.0bn and the company employs over 11,000 people. Cargotec is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Helsinki.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.31 euros (EUR).
