Swedish property company Akelius Fastigheter AB said on Thursday (13 March) that it has agreed to sell a 2,663-square metre commercial property in Haparanda, Sweden, to IKEA Fastigheter AB, the property arm of the Swedish furniture group IKEA.

The sales price is SEK23.9m.

The sale is part of Akelius Fastigheter's strategy to focus on residential properties.

Akelius Fastigheter, headquartered in Danderyd, Sweden, is one of Sweden's largest privately held property owners. The company owns some 31,000 apartments from Haparanda in northern Sweden to Munich in Germany.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.29 Swedish kronor (SEK).
