Finnish financial group Sampo Plc said on Friday (14 March) that its P&C insurance subsidiary If has signed an agreement to acquire the Russian insurance company SOAO Region.
SOAO Region's main focus is motor insurance with approximately EUR23.7m of premium income, Sampo added.
The acquisition is conditional upon the approval of the Russian Insurance Regulatory and the Russian Anti-Monopoly authorities.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.31 euros (EUR).
