Swedish defence and aerospace group Saab AB said on Wednesday (19 March) that it has landed a SEK392m surveillance system contract from the Swedish nuclear power plant operator OKG AB.
The turnkey contract covers the development and implementation of a complete surveillance system for the Oskarshamn nuclear power plant. Included in the contract are presentation systems, a network, systems for intruder alarms, cameras for surveillance and immediate verification of security perimeter alarms, pass control systems and systems guaranteeing uninterruptible power supply.
The system will be completed during 2010.
Saab, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is an international technology group with some 13,600 employees on six continents, and with annual sales of SEK23bn. The company is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.31 Swedish kronor (SEK).
