Norwegian engineering, construction and technology group Aker Kvaerner ASA said on Tuesday (25 March) that it has secured a construction management contract in Mexico.

The contract, awarded by Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation, covers construction management services for a gold and silver processing facility near Palmarejo in the Sierra Madre Mountains.

Aker Kvaerner will manage the construction of the infrastructure and process plant areas.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Aker Kvaerner, headquartered in Norway, is an international services and solutions provider with 24,000 employees in some 30 countries, and with annual revenues of NOK58bn. The company is part of Norway's Aker group, which through Aker Holding AS controls 40.27% of the shares. Aker Kvaerner is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and traded under the ticker AKVE.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 10.37 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
