Norwegian IT company EDB Business Partner ASA (OSE: EDBASA) said on Monday (19 May) that it has expanded its collaboration with the bank group SpareBank 1, signing a seven-year distributed IT operating services agreement.

Under the agreement the SpareBank 1 group will move all of its operations, including SpareBank 1 Midt-Norge, SpareBank 1 SR-Bank, SpareBank 1 Livsforsikring and SpareBank 1 Skadeforsikring, to the administrative office solutions platform EDB SKALA.

EDB SKALA is already used by some 3,000 users at SpareBank 1, but the new agreement will increase the number to 5,000.

The agreement is valued at NOK210m over the contract period.

EDB Business Partner, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, is one of the largest Nordic IT groups. The group has 6,000 employees in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Ukraine, the UK and India and has an annual turnover of NOK8bn.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 9.88 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
