Norwegian electronics manufacturer Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OSE: NOD) announced on Tuesday (20 May) a new production order for wireless communication components.

The new order, placed by an unnamed customer and valued at NOK6m, covers 2.4 GHz wireless communication components.

The components will be delivered in the second quarter of 2008.

Nordic Semiconductor (formerly Nordic VLSI), headquartered in Trondheim, Norway, develops and manufactures RF standard components. The company has some 10 employees and reported revenue of NOK306m in 2007.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 9.88 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
