TietoEnator takes over ICT operations of OP-Pohjola and Ilmarinen

Finnish-Swedish IT group TietoEnator Corporation (OMX Helsinki:TIE) said on Thursday (22 May) that it has concluded an agreement with OP-Pohjola Group Central Cooperative (OPK) and Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company on the delivery of ICT operations management services for OP Pohjola Group and Ilmarinen for the next seven years.
The services are to be produced by the joint enterprise FD Finanssidata, of which TietoEnator owns 60%, OPK 36% and Ilmarinen 4%. TietoEnator used to own 30% and OPK 70% of the business, the company added.
The joint venture will start its operations at 1 June 2008, the company added.
TietoEnator, headquartered in Espoo, Finland, is one of Europe's largest IT services providers. The company has 16,000 employees in 30 countries and reported sales of EUR1.77bn in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.26 euros (EUR).
