NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-29 May 2008-Sweden's SCA de-lists from London Stock Exchange(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com
Swedish consumer goods and paper company Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB (SCA) (OMX Stockholm: SCA) has completed the de-listing of its class B shares from the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
The shares will continue to be traded on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm and through an ADR programme in the US.
"SCA's B shares have been listed on the LSE since 1983. In recent years, trading in the shares on the London Stock Exchange corresponded to less than one (1) per cent of total trading volume in the shares, which does not, in the company's view, justify the listing," SCA said in a brief statement.
SCA, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, produces personal care products, tissue, packaging solutions, publication papers and solid-wood products. The company has approximately 50,000 employees worldwide, and reported sales of SEK106bn in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.70 Swedish kronor (SEK).
