Finnish oil company Neste Oil Corporation (OMX Helsinki:NES1V) said on Tuesday (6 May) that it has launched a unique renewable diesel, the Neste Green diesel, in Finland.
Neste Oil is the first company in the world to bring out a renewable diesel that suits all diesel motors, the company added.
Neste Oil guarantees that Neste Green diesel contains at least 10% renewable fuel in the form of Neste Oil's unique NExBTL component. NExBTL's raw materials include palm oil, rapeseed oil, and animal fats, the company said.
Neste Green diesel will first become available in the metropolitan region around Helsinki after which distribution will be extended to other parts of Finland on a phased basis.
Neste Oil, headquartered in Espoo, Finland, is a refining and marketing company with two refineries in Finland. The company has some 4,600 employees.
