Telenor ASA expands mobile broadband offering in Norway

Norwegian telecomms group Telenor ASA (OSE:TEL) said on Thursday (8 May) that it strengthens its mobile broadband offering in Norway through Mobilt Bredband.

In 2008 the Turbo 3G network is being expanded to cover all communities with more than 200 inhabitants, equivalent to 86% of the Norwegian population.

In addition, Telenor continues to expand its Turbo 3G service to cover mountain areas where there are large numbers of cabins and popular summer holiday spots.

Mobilt Bredband means you can watch TV, download music and audio books, use video conferences and surf on Facebook, all from your mobile phone.

Telenor is a mobile operator, with nearly 83m subscribers in 12 countries and a provider of television services in the Nordic region. Telenor has some 27,600 employees and annual revenues of nearly NOK70bn.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 10.17 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
