Swedish medical technology group Elekta AB (OMX Stockholm:EKTA B) said on Tuesday (30 September) that it has received an order for its Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion and Elekta Axesse radiosurgery solutions from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in the US.
The medical centre expects to begin treating patients on Elekta Axesse by the spring 2009 and Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion by the summer of 2009.
No financial details were disclosed.
Elekta, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, provides clinical solutions, management and information systems, as well as services for improved cancer care and management of brain disorders. The company has 2,500 employees worldwide and reported net sales of SEK4.52bn in the financial year 2006/2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.16 Swedish kronor (SEK).
