Swedish telecomms operator Tele2 AB (OMX:TEL2 A) (OMX:TEL2 B) said on Monday (29 September) that it has sold its Swiss operation to TDC Sunrise.
TDC Sunrise will pay in cash approximately SEK300m on a debt and cash free basis, the company said.
At the end of June 2008, Tele2 Switzerland had approximately 105,000 mobile customers, 305,000 fixed telephony customers and 81,000 fixed broadband customers.
Tele2, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is a pan-European operator with more than 30m customers in 22 countries. The group reported operating revenue of SEK43.4bn in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.16 Swedish kronor (SEK).
