Finnish crane maker Konecranes Plc (OMX Helsinki:KCR1V) is to establish a Market Operations function, strengthening its sales management structure, the company said today (6 May).
The new function will be led by Harry Ollila, who will remain part of Konecranes' Group Executive Board and will report to CEO Pekka Lundmark.
Ollila is currently president of the company's Northeast Asia unit and has been with Konecranes since 1991.
Effective from 1 September 2009, Market Operations will be responsible for sales management and sales support, global account management and development of solution marketing.
Konecranes' regional organisations will report to Harry Ollila, while the external reporting of the geographical regions will remain unchanged.
Also from 1 September 2009, Konecranes will shift to a two-tiered management structure that consists of the Group Executive Board and Extended Management Team.
