Important USFAA Chapter Grant information

FA Journal, July-August, 2004

The United States Field Artillery Chapter Grant time is right around the corner. This is our opportunity to give money back to the active chapters. This year USFAA Chapters will be required to have all chapter updates in to the Association office by 1 Sept 2004. This will allow staff time to calculate grants to be issued 1 Oct 2004. Chapter updates are required to be submitted to our office so that we know the Chapter Officers for your chapter. Due to the amount of returned mail last year, chapter grant checks will not be issued without an update and accurate mailing information. It is the chapter's responsibility to keep current updates on file with the Association Headquarters. If this isn't done, it means lost revenue for the chapter. You may submit your chapter update on line at www.fieldartillery.org.

Chapter grant checks must be cashed within 60 days of issue date. Grant checks are based on new members and member retention. Annual membership drives help your chapter stay strong. If your chapter needs to have a membership drive, let us know. We can create a webpage link on our website to help promote your chapter. See our website for an example. Online membership has been very successful for the chapters and the Association.

Let us know what we can do to help you promote membership for your chapter. If you are not currently associated with a chapter, contact our office. Your unit may have an active chapter and it's important for you to be affiliated with an active group.

If you are interested in creating a new chapter of the USFAA, contact us or go to our website at www.fieldartillery.org. If you have questions about Chapter Grants or Membership, please contact our office Monday-Friday 8am-4pm toll free at (866) 355-4677. The Chapters listed below are currently conducting membership drives:

Drumfire--Fort Riley, KS

Mountain Post--Fort Carson, CO

Warrior--Fort Polk, LA
