We salute you

On 11 September, the United States suffered terrorist attacks on New York and the Pentagon. In the weeks since, the world has mourned the tragic loss of life, while at the same time celebrating the heroes who so selflessly responded.

Now, the future is in the hands of another type of hero. YOU, the men and women of Naval Aviation, are the heroes upon whom our nation will rely to respond to this despicable act. You have trained to be ready to launch at a moment's notice whenever the call to action comes. We have faith that you will answer that call swiftly and surely.

The staff of Naval Aviation News feels honored to have the privilege of telling your story. We thank each and every one of you for your honor, courage, and commitment. We are proud of you. We salute you.
