Malaysian Royal Air Force MiG-29s, right, flew against CVW-14 F/A-18C Hornets, F/A-18E Super Hornets and F-14D Tomcats during joint air-to-air combat exercises over the South China Sea in September 2004. VFA-115 F/A-18E Super Hornets and VFA-25 F/A-18C Hornets flew one-on-one engagements against the MiG-29s, practicing within-visual-range air-to-air combat exercises.
