In honor of their dedication and service, all active U.S. military personnel, as well as U.S. police, firefighters and rescue personnel, began receiving free admission to Universal's theme parks on 1 January. The "Heroes Salute" program will continue through 30 April. Accompanying family members and friends receive a 50 percent discount on admission.

Eligible personnel include any member of the Armed Forces, U.S. Coast Guard and activated personnel of the National Guard or Reserves. The offer is good at Orlando's Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and the Wet 'n' Wild water park, and at Universal Studios Hollywood, Calif.

"These people are truly American heroes and we want to thank them for their commitment to our country and our communities," said Tom Williams, Chairman and CEO of the Universal Studios Recreation Group.
