The Naval Aviation Museum Foundation will present Symposium '02 at the National Museum of Naval Aviation (NMNA) in Pensacola, Fla., from 9 to 10 May. The symposium includes three seminars--Naval Air War in Korea; Space Pioneers: The Mercury Astronauts; and Naval Aviation: Issues and Answers.
The Hall of Honor 2002 enshrinement will also take place, inducting Fleet Admiral Ernest J. King, Admiral Joseph Mason Reeves, Captain Roy "Butch" Voris and Marine Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth A. Walsh.
Roy Neal, former NBC commentator who covered most of the space launches for the network, will moderate the space pioneers panel comprising astronauts Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, Wally Schirra and Senator John Glenn.
