A tractor driver aboard Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) inadvertently drove into the hot exhaust of an F- 14 Tomcat during normal flight operations. The driver attempted to stop the tractor while jumping off to escape the heat, but failed to set the brake properly. The tractor headed directly toward an aircraft and several people working on the flight deck.
