Super Hornet Production Ramps Up

On 15 June the Navy announced a multiyear contract with the Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., for full-rate production of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The contract provides for the purchase of 36 aircraft in FY 2000, 42 the next year and 48 for each of the following three years.
