Winners of the 2002 Adm. Flatley Memorial Award are Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72)/CVW-14 and Wasp (LHD 1)/22nd MEU. The award recognizes the aircraft carrier and amphibious ship with an embarked air wing or Marine Air-Ground Task Force which surpass all competitors in overall contributions to aviation safety.
