Phantom bird
Airman, Nov, 2004
Crew chief Staff Sgt. Brian Hennard marshals an F-117 Nighthawk to a stop for an end-of-runway check. The stealth fighter then took off from Kunsan Air Base, South Korea, on a training mission. The fighter--from the 49th Fighter Wing, Holloman Air Force Base, N.M.--wreaks havoc on enemy defenses.
It sneaks into high-threat airspace, drops its arsenal of laser-guided weapons, and then high-tails it home undetected. Like a phantom.
