It's true -- Kazakhs can walk on horses. This rider demonstrates his horsemanship, a skill the once-nomadic people of Kazakhstan are famous for, at the Centrasbat 2000 opening ceremony. The central Asian republic hosted American, British, Russian, Turkish, Georgian, Uzbeki, Kyrgyz, Azerbaijani and Mongolian soldiers and airmen for the military readiness exercise.
Troops trained on Kazakhstan's rolling plains, honing their peacekeeping and humanitarian relief operations skills.
