Dirty work - Airman's World - decontamination shelters - Brief Article

Osan Air Base, Korea -- Airman 1st Class Steven Randolph and Senior Airman Roger Richard decontominated Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Endow as he processed through the small shelter patient decontamination system. The 51st Medical Group operated the system, also known as a medico! decontamination shelter, as part of the final restoration of operations during a combat readiness exercise.

The 52-by-20-foot canvas facility is set up for ambulatory and nonambulatory patients contaminated with biological or chemical agents and is approximately 250 feet away from a medical treatment facility.
