Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Brian Larson

Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Brian Larson was recently named Naval Base Coronado's 2003 Air Systems Program Blue Jacket of the Year. As an airframes technician, Larson personally contributed more than 100 hours toward an overall effort of 890 total hours in direct mission support of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 31, China Lake, Calif.

Larson was also requested by name to lead a project that successfully restored an AV-8A Harrier aircraft for the Colonel Leffler Memorial in San Diego.
