Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Elliot

All Hands, Sept, 2006

Riley recently traveled to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. to donate a kidney. Stationed at Global Patient Movement Reception Center, Scott Air Force Base, III., Riley volunteered to give a kidney to the wife of retired Navy Master Chief Hoo Ping Towner. He was a match found through an online organ donor registry, www.matchingdonors.com, and has since gotten to know Towner and his wife.

"Getting to know them made me more excited at the possibility of helping," Riley said. "She has a lot of life to live."
