Be a wild child - Short Stuff

Girls' Life, August-Sept, 2002

Well, here are the three W's your English comp teacher never taught you--Watch, Write and Win! To get kids wild about writing, Paper Mate, Scholastic, Animal Planet, and its host Jeff Corwin of The Jeff Corwin Experience have launched a national essay contest. Called Watch, Write and Win, the contest gives one lucky winner (6 to 13 years old) the chance to be on an Animal Planet show.

All you have to do is watch Animal Planet's The Jeff Corwin Experience (airs Sundays at 3 p.m.). Then, write a 100-word essay on what you thought was wild about the show. And, if you're selected, you'll win a trip for four to the production set of an Animal Planet show. Mail completed essays to Paper Mate Watch, Write and Win Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 1345, Grand Rapids, MN 55745 before Oct. 7, 2002. So don't monkey around--break out the pen and paper, and write away! For more info and official rules, log on to www.papermate.com. (Hmm, do you think Britney learned her snake-charming ways from watching Jeff?)
