The rat pack - Short Stuff - Brief Article

Girls' Life, August-Sept, 2002

Nobody likes a tattletale, but what if some kids threatened to pulverize you after dismissal? Would you tell? Most kids would. Eighty-one percent of over 500 students in an Opinion Research Poll say they'd report classmates who make threats. Forty-three percent of those would go to a teacher, 42 percent would confide in the principal, and 26 percent would tell a parent.

Seems those school assemblies on violence are sinking in. Since the rise in school shootings in recent years, schools have made conflict resolution a top priority. The bottom line? Violence is not to be tolerated--so if you have to blow the whistle on a bully, so be it.
