Why not? - New! - flowers - Brief Article
Girls' Life, April-May, 2003
Buy yourself a bouquet. Flowers are fabulous-they add color life and usually, a gorgeous scent to your room. While nothing is easier than picking up a bouquet of fresh spring flowers from the market, learning to arrange em is tons of fun. There are lots of books on the subject (check out www.girlslife.com for pointers), but why not just go with your gut and put together whatever appeals to you? for the best success, pick large spring blooms (try tulips, daffodils, forsythia and narcissus), cut the ends cleanly with a sharp knife, and place them in a water-filled vase just big enough to hold them (change water and re-cut stems every two days).
