Actresses say the darndest things...especially when the actress is Amanda Bynes, formerly of Nickelodeon's All That and The Amanda Show. Now on her way to major stardom, Amanda took the time to, like, chat with us.

What do we like about Amanda Bynes? Got four hours to spare? At 16 Amanda is one of the fastest rising stars on the scene. We caught up with her in London where she was wrapping up her new movie American Girl out early 2003 American Girl is the story of a girl (Amanda) raised in New York City by her mother a professional singer She goes to London to find her long lost British father who's part of a very hoity toity British aristocratic social circle. It doesn't take long before her hip American lifestyle, disrupts his entire life. Right now, Amanda's enjoying her one day off before returning to Los Angeles, where she's shooting her new show What I Like About You, airing Fridays at 8 p.m. on WB Amanda does not want to talk about the same ol' things reporters always ask celebrities. She wants to talk about regular stuff. So, in honor of her new show, we found out what she likes and dislikes.

Candy? Like! My favorites are Red Hots and plain M&M's. I always get those at the movies.

Coffee? Dislike. I like the scent of the beans, but I don't like the taste.

Astrology? I like! I'm very into astrology. I'm an Aries. It's a fire sign, so that means I'm a passionate person. Not like, Oh, I'm so passionate!" But like during an argument, I put my all into it.

Sports? Um...well, I don't really like to play them, but they're fine to watch.

Diamonds? Like! Very much! They are the Aries birthstone, so hel-lo!

Breakfast? Like. My favorite thing ever is chocolate chip pancakes. If I'm trying to be healthy, then I like an omelet with tomatoes, mushrooms, green and red peppers, and with lots of mozzarella cheese. And lots of ketchup!

The peasant look? Hmmm. It's not my favorite look in fashion. I do have a new peasant shirt that I've got on right now, but it's a worn-out trend. I liked it initially, but then it was on everyone, so I'm like, "OK, next trend!" I think you can never go wrong with a good pair of jeans.

Driving? Like! I like driving. It's preferred to not being behind the wheel. I've wanted to drive since I was little, so getting my license was important to me. I wanted a BMW convertible, but my parents made me get a Honda Accord.

Going to the movies? Like. The last movie I saw was Star Wars. I'm so busy--I don't get to go to the movies much.

TV commercials? They can be very irritating, but I do like those Levi's belly-button singing commercials.

Making movies in London? I like it. I really loved working on American Girl! London is cool. The shopping is great. The people are friendly. It's a little crazy that they drive on the other side of the road.

Getting up early? Hate it! I hate it, hate it, hate it--with a passion! I'm definitely not a morning person.

Talking on the phone? Not my favorite thing. Not that I don't like messages, but I'll never return your phone calls. Not because I don't like you but because I've never liked talking on the phone.

E-mail? Also not my favorite thing. Weird, right? I type pretty fast, but it's hard because things can get misunderstood. I'm sarcastic, so people can take things the wrong way. I prefer to just talk to you in person.

The Prom? Never been. But I really want to go to mine.

High School? I like it. I actually go to a normal, non-actor school when I can. I go for the social aspect, to see my friends.

Being liked by someone you don't like? That's so sad! That is such a sad question. I'm stumped!

Having song stuck in your head? I don't mind it, but it drives everyone else crazy when I don't stop singing. I don't even mind it when they tell me to not quit my day job!

Britney Spears? Oh, come on! There are so many anti-Britney people! I respect her. I think she's talented, and everyone needs to get off her case. More power to her.

Angels? Ah...I like the idea. Your friends are your angels. Am I getting sappy?

Going to the dentist? My dad's a dentist, so anyway!

Flossing? I rarely do it, but I have heard it's good for you.

Friends the tv show? Of course! Who doesn't like that show? I also like Felicity, The Simpsons and The Family Guy.

Gossip? I don't like. It gets out of hand, and you can get trapped in it. You have to be honest in life. There's no point in lying about people or putting people down.

Cleavage? I'm trying! I think to a certain extent, it's perfectly fine. Women are beautiful. But I think some go overboard.

What I Like About You? I like it! My character's name is Holly, and I'm 16.1 live in New York with my big sister. I play a kooky character, who gets into trouble even though she means well. I'm so excited to play her.

Co-Star Beverly Hills 90210 veteran Jennie Garth? I like Jennie very much. I was always a little too young for 90210, but I knew of her. I always thought she was really pretty. And we have the same birthday-April 3. We got to celebrate it while making the pilot, and we got this big cake that had pictures of us on it. It was meant to look exactly like us, but they were made in frosting so they looked like demonic versions of us! I ate a piece of my head.
