You are so cute! The clothes, the hair, the make-up … here are a dozen right-now ways to look positively adorable

Girls' Life, Feb-March, 2005

Swept-up hair

Spring's messy up 'dos look pretty, not prom-y. To create this look, comb a large front section of hair to the side and brush around to the back. Pull back hair into a loose bun. Pull out small sections, twist and pin to top of bun. Lightly spray hair with Suave Freeze Hold Finishing Spray ($2.50, drugstores) to keep everything in its place. Feeling extra flirty? Tuck a flower behind your ear!

Pretty in pink bows

Fall's bows are still strong for spring. Want them to feel even Fresher? Just add bold Stripes and pretty pins.

Daytime glam

Don't be afraid to bring out dressier pieces during the day. Layer a strapless top (we love this one that has its own flowing scarf attached) with a big bling pin and a cropped cardigan.

Neutral nails

Subtle and sweet, new spring opaque pale polishes are worthy of showing off. We love Essie's Vanity Fairest ($8, essie.com), Orly Flirty Girl ($7, orlybeauty.com) and OPI Heart Throb ($7.50, opi.com).

Pearl power

Ladylike pearls are back in a big way. Want to keep yours from feeling too fussy? Take your sparkly brooch from fall, and pin random strands to your sweater. Punky and pretty.

Glossy pink lips

Are they ever really out? This spring's pink is bold yet subtle--not too pearly and not too icy. Try Hard Candy Lip Sorbet in Cherry Love($10.50, beauty.com). Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in Heart-Throb Red ($4.50, drugstores) or Too Faced Kiss Stick in Stolen Kiss ($17.0, toofaced.com).

Color! Color! Color!

The best way to beat the winter blahs? Colorful cords, crazy knit sweater sets in bold prints, and outrageous accessories.

Blush beautifully

Get cheeks glowing! Pink sheer blush looks pretty on just about everyone. We rubbed a little Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream in Petunia ($20, stila.com) on apples of cheeks and blended toward the hairline.

Adorable details

Simple standbys like T-shirts and capris look so much cuter when you choose styles with unique details, like bowed cuffs, and add adorable accessories, such as oversized pearl belts.

Big hair and bold eyes

Want an eye-opening effect? Line inner rims with black liner, then line along outer corner of lashes with Tropez Tropical Blue Eyeliner ($1, drugstores). Gently smudge together with a cotton swab. Dust lids with bright pink shadow (Rosey Pink Eye Shadow in Eye Candy, $3, roseypink.com).

For glam hair, tease all over and gently brush the front section straight back. Pin down in back (where you would secure a ponytail) with a small barrette. Smooth down framing hair with Head Wear Supa Slicka DeFrizz Stick ($5, drugstores).

Top it off

Blazers are still big this spring. Pick one in a fun, fresh stripe and funkify by adding buttons, big colored candy jewelry and metallic earrings.
