Timeless teen idols - Short Stuff - rock exhibit

Girls' Life, Feb-March, 2002

Do you watch MTV's Diary or VH1's Behind the Music to get the inside scoop on pop stars past and present? Why bother with reality TV, when you can get the real thing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio? Its new exhibit Sealed With a Kiss: Five Decades of Pop idols and Teen Dreams opens this spring.

The museum already houses a bunch of memorabilia from legendary teen idols such as '40s swooner Frank Sinatra, The Partridge Family's David Cassidy, '80s pop princess Debbie Gibson and old school boy band New Kids on the Block. Also included in the new exhibit are souvenirs and costumes from today's teenyboppers, like BSB, Britney and Christina. As chief curator Jim Henke says, "There's some thing for everyone. Everyone had teen idols at some point." So take the fam...and ask your mom to fill you in on Leif Garrett.
