I have two BFFs, and they each invited me to spend spring break away with their families. I don't know who I should go with - BFF Dilemma of the Month - best friend forever

Girls' Life, April, 2002

How can I go on vacation with one bud when another BFF invited me to go away, too? I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

I wouldn't want to hurt either of my BFF's feelings. I would tell them both that I'm really sorry but that I can't go on vacation with either of them because I already have plans with my own family.

If you've already been on vacation with one, go with the other one this time. If you haven't gone to either person's vacation place, go with the friend you'd have a butter time with.

I'd ask my parents which family they're most comfortable with. Then I would think about which friend I would have more fun with. Even though you're BFFs, you might be more comfortable around one friend's family.

Amanda, 12

Tell them both you have plans with your family. Spending time with your family is better than rejecting anyone's offer. But before anyone packs their bags, have a bon voyage party with all your BFFs!

Sarah, 14

You should go with the girl who asked you first. Tell the other BFF you'll make it up to her, and then do something special-- like plan a cool one-on-one weekend together.
