Me: Except I saw you on MadTV, and you said a bad word.

Mandy: Oh, gosh. I was at home when it aired with my whole family. I had to run to my bedroom when that came on because my dad was like, "Young lady, that's inappropriate language." My mom was semi OK with it. I don't know, I just wanted to do, I don't know, something a little different. It was kind of funny because it's really not me at all, but hey, it was fun to do it.

Me: Tell me about your new MTV show?

Mandy: It's going to be airing this summer, it's a half-hour show. It's got a lot of teenage elements to it because I'm 16. It's filming at the beach house this summer in Key West, which should be really fun. It's right near my house in Orlando. It's going to be really music-oriented.

Me: Do you sing in The Princess Diaries?

Mandy: There's a little karaoke scene, a party on the beach and we get up and do a little number with a little dance, a '50s song, so it's cute.

Me: What's next for you?

Mandy: I have a CD coming out June 5.
