Holder voted top educator - AICPA News - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Bill Holder, 2003 recipient of Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award - Brief Article

CaICPA member Bill Holder was chosen by the AICPA as the 2003 recipient of its Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award.

Holder, currently the Ernst & Young professor at USC's Leventhal School of Accounting, joined USC in 1979, after stints with University of Oklahoma, University of Tennessee and Texas Tech University. He has been named Best Professor there twice.

In addition to testifying before a Congressional Subcommittee which served as a precursor to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, he has co-authored numerous textbooks, as well as developing a CPE course offered by many state societies.

He has received numerous awards from CaICPA, as well as being named one of the 100 most influential people in accounting by Accounting Today in 2001 and 2002.
