CalCPAONLINE web focus - California Society of Certified Public Accountants - Brief Article

California CPA, August, 2001

GET ONLINE WITH OUR NEW MEMBER DATABASE

The BSN is gone, but its most popular feature, Find a CPA, is alive and well. All of the Find a CPA member data has been updated with current information from our membership database, and we'll continue to update the information regularly.

We also have made member-requested improvements to the services and industries that the public can choose in their search. These changes mean that all members will have to return to the Find a CPA feature and re-populate the services and industries they serve, as well as re-activate their listings.

To re-activate your listing, you'll need to go to www.calcpa. org/find and click on My Profile. Here you'll have two choices, you can either enter your CalCPA member number (it's on the cover of this magazine above your name), or you can enter your user name and password from the government relations interactive advocacy site. Unfortunately, we were unable to transfer your old BSN login and password to the new database.

Once you've logged in, follow the prompts to update your listing. You'll be able to use your new login name and password to log in to CalCPA's membership directory (or access exclusive members only articles and information) immediately.

Remember, your new login and password will work for both the CalCPA Online member's only area as well as for the government relations interactive advocacy site.
