Acrobat Reader For Palm Os Now Available - Brief Article

California CPA, Sept, 2001

Now your Palm-powered PDA has increased functionality. New Acrobat Reader for Palm OS gives users the flexibility and freedom to view PDF files on Palm-powered, handheld devices.

"It's simple to use and seems to work well," says David Cieslak, CPA, who penned the California CPA article "Palm Pilot vs. Pocket PC" earlier this year.

Cieslak currently uses the program on his Palm Vx and says the limited resolution of the legacy Palm devices reduces the program's usefulness. "I imagine it will be much more useful and valuable on the newer color devices, as well as on devices that now run in higher (320x320 pixels) resolution, such as the HandEra 330. I think it's poised to become a very helpful and relevant program," he says.

Acrobat Reader for Palm OS is available for free at www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html for Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows ME and Windows 2000 (users must have Palm Desktop 3.0.1 or higher).

Support for Macintosh OS, as well as for languages besides English, is expected in future versions.
