CaICPA member Kenny Hamaguchi passed away suddenly Aug. 8. A partner with Gardena-based Okuma, Hanaoka, Mayekawa & Co., Hamaguchi was active with CaICPA and had served on the Management Consulting Services, Personal Financial Planning, Technology and Annual Meeting committees, as well as on the board of directors. Most recently he served as immediate-past chair of the MCS Committee. Hamaguchi also was active locally with the Orange County/Long Beach Chapter.

"Kenny was one of the most patient and understanding people I've ever met. It didn't matter if you were in a board meeting or on a golf course, his capacity for em pathy was unmatched," says Vince Chin, CaICPA associate director of member relations. "He never had a bad thing to say about anyone."

Funeral services were held Aug. 15 in Whittier.
