Free e-file workshops take fear out of e-filing - FTB News - Franchise Tax Board and Internal Revenue Service - Brief Article

California CPA, Nov, 2002

Aimed at e-file newbies, the IRS and FTB are co-sponsoring a series of free workshops to teach the basics of e-filing.

The e-file Workshop for Beginners will feature tips from other professionals on the best ways to transition your office to accommodate e-file; provide answers to e-file program questions from IRS and FTB representatives; and assist with completing the IRS and FTB e-file applications. CPE credit is available.

On the day of the workshop you will have the opportunity to complete IRS and FTB e-file applications. To do this you will need to bring a copy of your CPA card.

Fingerprints are required to complete the IRS application. IRS staff will be available to provide free fingerprinting service at the workshop.
