California CPA, March-April, 2004

Jeanne Laye has won the East Bay Chapter's Laverne W. Garcia Achievement Award for her contributions to the profession and community. In addition to her work in various CalCPA leadership positions, Laye founded The LOLs' Protective Association, an alliance to protect and preserve the assets and estates of Lamorinda's elder citizens. Laye also has served as president of Orinda Newcomers ... Noelle Allen has won the Taxation Committee's Saul Braverman Award for her more than 20 years of service. Allen served four years as chair of the committee, and has been a frequent lecturer for the California CPA Education Foundation. Allen, author of Confessions of a Tax Accountant, is also active in the Truckee Sunrise Rotary and is on the board for Live Oak Day Care in Los Gatos.
