Time Warner Telecom announced it has extended its current agreement with the San Antonio Defense MegaCenter Network to upgrade the current OC-12 fiber optic network to an OC-48 network.

The San Antonio Defense MegaCenter Network is a fiber optic network that connects Wilford Hall Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base, US Army Medical Information System Support Agency at Greenway Park, Randolph Air Force Base, Brooks Air Force Base, Brooke Army Medical Center and the San Antonio Defense MegaCenter. Installation of the new network is expected to begin soon.
